Speed matters, and so does energy conservation. That's why the x70 Skirack has been meticulously designed using modern CAD software to ensure it offers the lowest possible wind resistance during your commute.

Engineered for the Commute

When traveling with large gear like skis, crosswinds and forward drag can severely affect a cyclist's balance and stamina. We tackled this issue head-on:

  • Low Profile: By mounting the skis vertically on either side of the rear wheel, the rack keeps the load within the slipstream of the rider's body.
  • Streamlined Components: The stainless steel square tubing and contoured ABS plastic modules minimize exposed surface area.
  • Module Design: We decreased the depth of the modules and refined the wall thickness to 5mm, adding internal ribs for strength without increasing the external footprint. Filleted edges improve aerodynamic flow and reduce micro-turbulences.

Every curve and angle—from the CNC-machined aluminium backplate to the injection-moulded plastic components—is designed to guide airflow smoothly over the rack and your skis. This means you can maintain higher speeds with less effort, making your trip to the mountains faster and significantly more enjoyable.
